Like Mother, Like Daughter

Sarah originally designed these gorgeous linen-covered memory books with weddings in mind, but they seem to be proving popular as Christmas gifts too, so I thought we'd show them off here!

There are two in the series, (so far!) a gift from mother to daughter and vice versa.
Each book is designed as a way to celebrate the special bond between mother and daughter, and share your memories in pictures and words. It is filled with pages for favourite photos, meaningful quotations and prompts to inspire you to share your thoughts and even a few secrets perhaps.

To give you an idea, here are a few of the pages in the 'To My Daughter Memory Journal':
  • Life before you were born...
  • When I saw you for the first time...
  • A lasting memory I have of your childhood...
  • A lesson in life I would like to pass on...
  • 15 things you probably never knew...
  • What I hope for you and your future...
The 'To My Mum Memory Journal' is covered in ivory linen.

I think my favourite quotation from this book would have to be
"Love the whole world as a mother loves her own child".

It's a great way to show your appreciation of a brilliant mum and this one includes prompts like these to get you started...
  • My earliest memory of you...
  • I'm proud to have you as my mum because...
  • What makes you so unique...
  • Couldn't have done it without you...
  • What I miss about home...
  • A little message of thanks...and lots more.
Be warned, they do take a while to fill out and a box of tissues will definitely be needed when it's opened on Christmas morning! But this is one Christmas gift you know she'll treasure long after the decorations are put back in their box.
