We're moving again!

Yes, we're moving again! I can't believe it has been 4 years since we moved into just one converted farm unit deep in the countryside of the Isle of Wight! It looked so big back then, we wondered if we would ever fill it. Here is Sarah back in 2008 when we took on our converted cowshed!

But four years on we have expanded into 3 more adjacent units and even so our shelves are full to overflowing!

In the process of sorting out ready for the move, we came across these photos of Sarah's first "business premises" - that is, her spare bedroom! The infant product range was stored on just a few shelves back then. It is just 6 years since she took the plunge to branch out on her own, and from the New Year we will be in a 5000 sq foot warehouse with over 2500 products! In that period we've moved three times and sent out over 300,000 orders.

So after much searching and a few false starts we have finally found a new home, 'The Old Granary' in Sandy Lane, Newport.

Funnily enough, it is another former farm property in a rural location, this time a converted granary just outside the island's main town of Newport.

Originally farm buildings and a dairy occupied the site but now we have taken them on as warehousing and a large kitchen area, which has inspired some very exciting ideas for future developments. Our plan is to convert the kitchen area, which was the old dairy, to a beautiful destination gift book and stationery store with coffee shop, thus realising our long time ambition to have a retail outlet on the island.
The site is well situated for all our future plans, being just a mile and a half from Newport, yet we have again found a beautiful, peaceful location in the unspoilt countryside, with stunning views. It is just so much more "us" than the industrial estates we looked at!
But none of this would have been possible without our wonderful customers. So we would like say a big thank you all for all your support throughout our first six years and we hope you will continue to shop with us in the years to come. And hopefully we will finally get to meet some of you in person when our new shop opens! If you are living on the island or just on your holidays do pop in and say hello!

Watch this space for updates on our new move and when the shop opens you'll be the first to know!!
